In October, Britain celebrated the Black History Month , which over the past 50 years takes place in schools, community centers, libraries and parks through events that bring together music, dance, lectures, storytelling and exhibitions, among other activities revelling black culture in the UK, showing up to 6,000 events across Britain.
History
Celebrations on the recognition of black culture in societies emerged in 1915 in the United States with the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH ), a few years after the formal abolition of slavery . It was a conquer to set a proper date to the recognition of black identity and also the Movement for Human Rights had a constant struggle to bring consciousness and the value of black heritage. It was in the 60s that the celebration of Black History Month took place in the UK .

Although there exist the dissemination of information about the positive contribution of blacks in a joint enterprise, it is still permeated with prejudice. I the Black History Month sufficient for people’s awareness? How much is known about the culture of black people and the legacy that has been absorbed by the societies in the post-slavory system?
