VI ABEP-UK Conference
This is a valuable opportunity to meet and hear the testimony of prominent names of the Brazilian and British scientific community.
The Association of Brazilian Postgraduate Students and Researchers in the United Kingdom has the pleasure to invite you to the sixth edition of its annual conference which will be held on September 28, 2013, at the Royal Society in London, with the theme:
“Academia meets Society: challenges of collaboration between university, industry and community”
His Excellency Roberto Jaguaribe, the ambassador of Brazil in the UK, will open the conference, followed by the keynote session held by Dr. Carlos Henrique de Brito Cruz, scientific director of FAPESP. The conference speakers also include Prof. Anthony Pereira , director of King’s Brazil Institute, King’s College London and Ms. Daniela Scur , project director of the World Management Survey Centre for Economic Performance, LSE, among others to be confirmed soon.
The IV ABEP Conference is an excellent way for the introduction of its associates to the community for exchanging ideas and contacts. Students and researchers of all areas of knowledge are invited to present their work and attend lectures given by qualified speakers. The open call for papers has already been issued; abstracts should be submitted by September 3rd, in either English or Portuguese. The best presentations will be awarded with full-day passes for the festival of literature, music and art FlipSide , which, in addition to renowned Brazilian artists, will feature the performance of the singer Adriana Calcanhotto.
