The Room in the Moon app: travel guide about countries by Rafael dos Santos

Planning on moving abroad but don’t know where to start? Room in the Moon launches an app that helps you to organize your trip. The practical aspects like check lists, weather, money and accommodation. But what is best is the emotional support the app provides with videos about culture shock, how to make friends and how to feel like a local once you move.

If you new year’s resolution is to move abroad this year, then you need to download the Room in the Moon app. It’s a simple but helpful idea that combines the practical functionalists like weather (so you know what clothes to pack) money exchange, there is a list of airlines around the world and more.

The app also provides a pre-set check list that you can delete or add tasks.

The app also has overall information about a few countries, 10 step guide and podcast. One of the interesting functionalists is the chat room per country where you can ask questions to people who are moving to the same country or they are locals and you can learn about their countries.

Room in the Moon was launched in October/13 in London by the entrepreneur Rafael dos Santos author of the book ‘ Moving Abroad, one step at a time’. Rafael says ‘ the book helps people to understand the 5 stages of moving abroad and their journey is emotional as well as physical. The app is based on the book and we want to help people in every stage of their journey’.
