A special event for all Portuguese speakers is coming up in the last week of Easter. Family on Ice, a free, non-profit event created by CEIZS LONDON. Its aim? To bring people together in a family friendly environment. The event is aimed specifically at Portuguese speakers, of all ages, races, beliefs and ethnicities.

“We want to bring together as many families as possible who have Portuguese as their mother tongue. Bare in mind Portuguese is the sixth most spoken language in London (according to the 2011 Census), following Polish, French and South Asian languages” says the founder of the event Fabio Rodrigues.

The event will last three hours and will include a show by professional skaters, followed by a class with tips about how to skate. But is the event only about skating? No! The team has created an exciting programme with other attractions such as music and a raffle. The organisers are preparing to receive more than a thousand people, the space itself holds more than three thousand.
